Birthday boy turns 4!

Fischer turned 4 today! (I know the candle says 1, but that was all we had!) We made a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. All he ate was the frosting. He requested that his crown have a flying dinosaur on it with one horn. He chose the colors. He really liked it except he was wondering why it didn't have claws on the wings like it is supposed to have. He doesn't miss a thing when it comes to dinosaurs. Next week we are taking him to "Walking with Dinosaurs" down in Boise. Hopefully it doesn't scare him too much. He's excited to get to Wisconsin because he has more Christmas and birthday presents there! Two more weeks!

tis the season

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Ours was nice and mellow. We had plenty of good food, friends and a lot of snow! Fischer decorated a gingerbread house a few weeks ago. Everyday it seems as if it has less and less candy on its roof top and the candy canes have also gone missing?
Amelia looked like a little elf on Christmas Eve, or perhaps a little Who from Whoville. Fischer had a blast on Christmas morning. He was quite surprised to find Santa had come during the night. He was afraid Santa had ran out of presents. All of it was a bit overwhelming for the little guy, but he is already asking if Santa is coming again soon. Only a few more weeks left here in Idaho. We've been very busy packing. Hopefully we have a little window of nice weather for the trip across country. Right now the weather calls for snow everyday for the next week!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We finally have some snow on the ground! We were starting to wonder if we were going to have a white Christmas or not. We went and got our tree on Sunday and for the first time there wasn't any snow in the forest. It felt strange. The snow though has finally arrived! Fischer was excited to finally get to use his new skis that Jimmy got at a yard sale this past summer. It took him a little bit to figure them out. He kept crossing his skis and falling. He seems to be getting the hang of it.
The Christmas tree is up in the living room Amelia doesn't seem to bother it too much. We didn't put much on the bottom branches to attract her.

Little Frog

Amelia was pulling her little wooden frog all over the house today. She is starting to figure out how to pull it with out tipping it over or tripping over the rope.
